Job Highlights:
Contract: Independent Contractor
Client Timezone: California, USA
Scope:
- Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm California Time with 1 hour unpaid break
- Handle financial records for multiple small business clients
- Work within established processes and standards
- Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless financial operations
- Adapt to various accounting systems and financial technology platforms
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive financial information
Responsibilities:
- Perform bank reconciliations regularly
- Post accruals and prepaid expenses
- Manage amortization of prepaid expenses and booked assets
- Execute monthly process journal entries as needed
- Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable to bank transactions
- Process documents using systems like Hubdoc or Dext
- Manage accounts inbox and create bills
- Reconcile bills to outstanding purchase orders
- Clear invoices and bills promptly
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Requirements:
- Experience with accounting software, particularly Xero and QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping principles
- Attention to detail and high accuracy in numerical work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in English for clear communication
- Familiarity with A to X, Shopify, and Amazon integrations (preferred but not mandatory)
