Position: Construction Estimator

Working Hours: M-F, 7am-3/4pm, PST timezone

Salary Range: 1000-1200 USD/month

Holiday: TBD

About the job:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Construction Project Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction estimating and be proficient in reading architectural plans, creating take-offs, and have a passion for problem-solving and multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use Foxit PhantomPDF to create, edit, review, highlight, notate, and measure PDF documents
  • Use Microsoft Word & Excel to create, edit, and review documents, and keep detailed notes in each database
  • Manage and organize files through a digital database
  • Prepare bid forms and email them to contractors
  • Call and email contractors before and after bid time to review scope, pricing, and close contracts
  • Send RFIs to GC for bids and contracted projects
  • Prepare submittals with cover sheet, product data, fabric cards, shop drawings, details, and window schedules
  • Mail physical samples to contractors and keep detailed notes in submittal log
  • Add new contracts to contract log
  • Meet 3-5 deadlines per day
  • Ability to manage time and organize tasks based on level of priority
  • Can handle a volume of 20-40 bids per month (take offs, revisions, phone calls, follow-ups, notes)



  • 1-3 Years of Construction Estimating experience
  • Proficient in reading architectural plans and creating take-offs
  • Extensive experience negotiating and closing contracts
  • Self-motivated, driven, detail-oriented, problem-solving, multi-tasking, hardworking
  • Love for tedious tasks and puzzles
  • Comfortable communicating via phone and email; strong oral and written communication skills
  • Desire to work independently and as a team
  • Eager to meet 3-5 deadlines per day
  • Able to manage time and organize tasks based on level of priority
  • Can handle a volume of 20-40 bids per month (take-offs, revisions, phone calls, follow-ups, notes)
  • Willing to spend 99% of work time on the computer
  • Passion for a fast-paced work environment
  • Skill for adapting to constant bid changes (new documents and/or revised deadlines)
